We would be delighted to receive applications for the role of Governor.
Penistone Grammar School Advanced Learning Centre is a 'Good' school poised to be 'Outstanding' very soon. We are a vibrant, oversubscribed 11 to 18 comprehensive school with excellent GCSE results across all subjects. We are placed in the top 10 schools in the county in terms of Key Stage 4 and our A level results and destinations are equally impressive with over 85% of students gaining entrance to their first choice universities last year.

We are looking for business and community leaders in our district to contribute their skills and experience to our school to help us achieve our aims.

We have 2 vacancies for Co-opted Governors who are able to provide vision and strategic leadership to the school, with particular skills, experience and/or interest in one of the following areas:

  • Health & Safety
  • Legal and/or academisation

We can offer you:

  • the opportunity to get involved with a committed team of governors, staff and great young people
  • training and development to enhance your skills in finance, data, strategic management
  • mentoring support
  • a chance to contribute to our local community and really make a difference

Being a Governor is a voluntary role, unpaid but highly rewarding, and this is a particularly exciting time to be involved with Penistone Grammar School.
