As the Principal, I feel privileged to lead our school at a time when our students are excelling in all key stages.
This year 72% of our students have achieved 5 or more A* to C grades including English and Mathematics with the proportion of our students making good and outstanding progress significantly higher than the national figure. The number of students who have gained the top A*/A grades has increased again in 2014/15 and the performance of students within Science is amongst the best in the country. At Post 16 excellent results place us in the top 10% of schools nationally.
We have a committed and talented staff who always focus on developing the very best practice so that our first class learning facilities and ICT resources are optimised. Students and members of the wider community benefit from state of the art sports facilities; a professional drama studio; a fully equipped catering suite and a hairdressing salon to name but a few of the specialist areas within the ALC.
