To apply for a place at Penistone Grammar School:

 

Penistone Grammar School is a local authority maintained school. For standard admissions at the point of secondary transfer, details are available in the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council admissions booklet

If your child is currently in a primary school in the Barnsley area there are two ways to apply:

​

• Complete an application form and return it to the headteacher of your child’s primary school; 

 

• Apply online by logging on to the BMBC website and following the instructions.

If you live outside the BMBC area or would like to transfer your child into the school at a time other than at the standard secondary transfer point, please contact BMBC’s Admissions Department on 01226773677 for further advice and to obtain the appropriate application form.
