Subject Vision & Intent
Our vision for the Librarianship course at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 is to cultivate a generation of informed, critical thinkers who are empowered to navigate the vast landscape of information. We aim to foster a passion for reading, research, and lifelong learning, equipping students with essential skills to access, evaluate, and utilise information effectively in an ever-evolving digital world.
Through a dynamic curriculum that integrates technology, collaboration, and creativity, we envision our students becoming proactive contributors to their communities, capable of advocating for information literacy and the importance of libraries as vital resources. By instilling a sense of responsibility and ethical understanding regarding information use, we prepare our students to become future leaders in the field of librarianship and beyond.
