Penistone Grammar School offers a wide range of trips and visits for our students, providing them with valuable experiences that not only enrich their education but also foster personal development.
Our World Challenge Croatia trip in 2024 allows students to immerse themselves in a new culture and challenge themselves through outdoor activities and community service projects. The World Challenge Training Weekend gives students a taste of what to expect on the full World Challenge expedition, while our Combined Cadet Force Training package allows students to learn valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and discipline.
We also offer a variety of trips that cater to different interests, such as our Birds and Bees Theatre Trip, Ski Trip, and University of Huddersfield Fashion and Textiles Trip. Our Grease production and Maths Inspiration Theatre Show provide students with the opportunity to experience live performance, while the Science Competition Day (Faraday Project) offers a chance for students to showcase their scientific knowledge.
For those looking to challenge themselves physically, we offer outdoor activities like the Peaks Caving trip, Ashbourne Football, and DofE Silver Qualifying Expedition. We also have a range of residential trips for different year groups, such as Y7 Residential and Y12 Science trip to Paris, which give students the opportunity to bond with their peers and develop independence.
These trips and visits also provide opportunities for our students to build life skills, such as communication, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork. We strive to provide our students with a well-rounded education, and our trips and visits play a crucial role in this by allowing them to step out of the classroom and apply what they've learned in real-life situations.
Overall, Penistone Grammar School offers a range of exciting and diverse trips and visits that provide our students with an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, while also fostering personal growth and development.
